Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

slander/libel/harassment

My girlfriend's ex boyfriend recently sent a flyer to everyone in my neighborhood saying ''Public Notice - Suspect Description (and described me), then he wrote ''charges: kidnapping/Child Abuse and Endangerment/Trespassing/Harassment and Domestic Disturbance'' and gave my vehicle description. He also included pictures of me and my vehicle and at the bottom wrote: ''Warning If you see this suspect, please call your local authorities: Sulphur Springs Police. This suspect has be considered a threat to children by Texas Dept of Family and Protective Services. Suspect is also under investigation by Garland Police Dept. He put City of Dallas seals at the top of the notice. My girlfriend and I decided it would be in my best interest for her take the children back to him. She found this flyer he had made on a cd there. Previous to this he had sent this email to me:''Be advised that a report of neglect has been made against you and my ex. Understand that they have all of your information including the domestic disturbance report from the Sulphur Springs police as well as your employers information. If I do not recieve a phone call indicating when my children are coming back I will have them forcilbly removed.'' Can I do anything legally?

If what was printed is not true then you can sue for defamation...and probably should.
