Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Sued by person who wrote me hot check

We did repair work for a property owner's association

and they wrote a hot check. We couldn't collect from the

association on the check so turned it over to the DA.

The DA's office arrested the signer of the check and

now we are being sued. The charges were dismissed

by the DA's office against the signer of the NSF check.

So, how can we be sued? Apparently, we are being

sued for past, present and future loss of wages; past,

present and future pain and suffering and humiliation,

etc. What is up with this?

It's a retaliatory lawsuit, attempting to get even.
