Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Texas

Vehicle Retrevial and Storage Fees

My dad and I are not on good terms due to religious/racial issues and he has stated that I am not permitted to come on his property. however, my car that needs numerous repairs has been on his property since april of 2005 and is behind a fence that does not have a gate large enough to move the vehicle thru. I now have the resources availiable to restore my vehicle to driving condition.

What course of action should I take in retreiving my vehicle in the most civilized and legal manner

Also, can my father charge me storage fees for the time the vehicle has been on his property.

Re: Vehicle Retrevial and Storage Fees

He'd have to give you notice that he is charging you storage and a chance to remove the car. If he hasn't, then you can get a court order if he doesn't let you get the car without one. Try having someone else get it for you.
