Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

I went for a citizenship interview and pass the test ,but they could decide on my case ..they said they were going to send a responds in a week is that bad?

Why they couldn't give you a decision? Do you have criminal conviction or or some other issues that can prevent one from becoming a US citizen?
