Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

i have a good case for the U-visa petition police records and statements backing up my case...but when i asked my employer to provide me with company info. because this is one of the requirements and they asked why i needed it I told them why and now they're now threaten me to call immigration or terminate me. Will i be affected if I turn in the U-visa petition? or Will they be affected? They're concern immigration will come to the company after I file the petition. so Im scared to file the petition.

The U visa petition is independent of your work. It is highly unlikely that USCIS will ever contact the employer. If you have a valid U visa case you should not hesitate to file as some jurisdictions have strict timelimits as to when they will certify the U visa certification on I-918B. I would recommend that you consult with an experienced immigration lawyer before filing.

Best of luck.
