Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas

I am international student . I am married to an American citizen. She goes to university and lives in university village apartment. I live in city near to it and I go to different college. Because of education. purpose we are not staying together right now. Can I still file for green card through my wife? Please answer to my question?
