Disability Insurance

What is the definition of short term disability insurance? My wife signed up for 100% short term disabilty insurance thru her employer. Now when we are making a clain they are only paying us 66% short term disability under a previouse plan. Her employer doesn't seem to be able to resolve this issue and we cannot get a copy of the polocy from the insurance company. The insurance company is Met Life. If we demand a copy of the polocy can we get it?

Request a copy of the polciy via certified mail. You can also make a complaint with the Texas Dept. of Ins. When you receive the policy, consult an attorney. This information does not create an attorney client relationship.
