Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas

What can insurance company do to collect damages from uninsured driver?

I was involved in an accident on private property, were my RV is stored. It was uninsured. I moved my RV and I apparently blacked out. This resulted in my hitting a building and an other RV that was also stored. No one else was involved or injured. I had never had this problem before and was hospitalized. Ideally I would like to make some monthly payments to the insurance companies. I have not yet heard from them. I am retired and on a limited income. I'm concerned if they would be able to access a annuity in my wife's name. Please advise if this annuity is at risk.

The insurance company can collect from you for the damages for which you are responsible. Usually, they will send you a letter and allow you to negotiate an amount and payment plan. Sometimes, you can work a pretty good deal. If you don't work out a good deal for you, they can sue you to collect. That would likely be more money, but still an opportunity to negotiate.
