Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas

As Owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy on my ex-husband, do I have recourse in recovering court costs and attorney fees for an interpleader hearing in federal court? The children of the decedent from a previous marriage are claiming right to the proceeds. Are there any cases historically referencing these facts and what was their outcome?

Typically, a policy on an ex disqualifies the ex from being a beneficiary. The funds would go to the contingent beneficiary UNLESS the policy is mentioned in the divorce decree or the policy was purchased/modified after the divorce, or there was an ERISA issue with the policy.
