Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas

Unemployment Benefits

A masonry foreman was fired for misconduct on the job and missused and abused his position with the company. He filed for unemployment. My response to the unemployment office was his misconduct of his position. Why did he receive unemployment benefits anyway?

Re: Unemployment Benefits

Perhaps because you did not contest his entitlement to the benefits??? You could have, and stopped them, because someone discharged for misconduct is not entitled to such benefits. TWC will hold a hearing to determine the matter if you timely and properly contest it.
