Legal Question in Investment Law in Texas

tricked

2 years ago, i invested $100,000 and bought us treasury strips through bank one investment advisor. At the time I was told that I would be receiving $20,000 every 2 years till 2012. Well, I just received my first allotment and it was only $17,800. I ask the advisor what happened. She said she was misinformed and did not realize this was going to happen. If I was told this up front 2 years ago, I would have never invested. Not only did I lose $2200 on my first allotment, If I sell the strips now, I would incur another loss of $2000 on top of $2200. The investment advisor is saying ''oh well, i'm sorry, I didn't know.''

Now come to find out she works on commision. I feel like I been tricked into buying a lemon. This is not acceptable. Due to her neglagence, I've lost $4200 and I want to be compensated. WHAT CAN I DO?

Re: tricked

When exactly did you invest 2 years ago? When did you discover the payout would not be as promised?
