Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Texas

My 18 year old son is autistic. I am seeking power of attorney for medical and financial. I have downloaded some forms from the web, Do I need a lawyer to file this or can it simply be done by notarizing our signatures?

It is not possible to answer your question because I have not reviewed the forms you are referring to.

A power of Attorney does not have to be "filed", but under certain circumstances a power of attorney may not be enough.

Further, if you son is not competent, then his power of attorney may not be effective.

I can discuss this with you further email me [email protected] or call me: 512-478-8080.
