Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

How do I go about collecting payment for 132 hours of work I have done on a property? I was sent to the property by the property manager, my everyday boss. She stated that the tenant on the property would be paying me for hours worked. I was told that I would be paid for my hours on a specific date, which is why I allowed my hours to build up. Now that the date has come, they are telling me that I am only going to be paid for $8/hr, when my normal working rate for the property manager is $10/hr. They have not yet written me a check. I spoke with the property manager, and she claims to have no liability for my payment. I have also been told that I pursue this matter legally, that my wife, who also works for her, will be fired.
