No compete law
I work in the newpaper industry. Last year they gave us a bonus but inorder to recieve it we had to sign an agreement that if we left the company we could not work within a 50 mile radius of our employment. Is this a binding contract or how will this hold up in court? Do I need an attorney?

There is no clear cut answer to your question without seeing the agreement and understanding the circumstances. Such agreements can be enforceable if certain conditions are met. You might choose to see an attorney.
