Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

Privacy and Employment Placement Agencies

I applied for a position the placement agency that helped me obtian my current job. This placement agency notified my current employer of my application and interest in a new job. My current employer has comfronted me about my intentions. The placement agency has confidentiality guidelines but the owner is an apparent ''friend'' of one of the employees at my current job and disclosed this information to her friend. Is there anything that can be done if this has a negative impact at my current job?
