Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

signed a non compete for a company that I finally quit after not being compensated correctly and then at all. I started with a new company with the same services. In my contract is says that I am not to sell for another company for three weeks after termination. I complied with that. It also states that I can not solicit to a customer or employee for two years. If a customer contacts me and request services.....am I failing to comply? Or is it legal to pursue opportunity with said csutomer?
