Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

I work for maint for a school and get paid once a month. they take all the hrs that i would work for a year and averge out and pay me that regardless of how many weeks fall with in the pay pierod. is the legal in texas

Are you on a contract? Salaried or hourly? These things make a difference.

Generally if you are an hourly employee your employer may not average out the pay BUT there are some pay arrangements, such as the non-exempt salaried employee, in which you can be paid on an averaged pay schedule although you do not meet the requirements to be salaried and exempt.
