Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

I have been working for the same company for 5 years. I was told last week that I will no longer be a salary employer at $35K a year and that my employer wants me to only work part time three days a week instead of 5 days a week at an hourly rate. Does this mean that my full time position was terminated and do I have to accept the part time hours, if not can I file for unemployment or if I stay at the job part time can I not do that?
