Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

Wrongful Termination

My employment was recently terminated due to a customer complaint while I was not a work. I was wondering if that is grounds for termination and do, I had a legitimate case of wrongful termination. In addition, before this, I had been written up because of a customer complaint that also happen while I was not at work and in the customer service field that I work in customer has complaints everyday and I was the only one that received disciplinary actions behind them. Ten other associates are in the customer service area at my job. They have all had complaints from customers and one point and time and they have not received disciplinary actions against them or even termination. Please, if any information regarding this matter to be forwarded to me it will be appreciated dearly.

Re: Wrongful Termination

Based on the facts you have presented, unless you had a contract with this employer there is really nothing that you can do. Texas is an employment-at-will state and therefore, either the employer or employee may terminate the employment for any reason. So long as that reason is not based on race, religion, sex, age. If my law firm can assist you further or with any other legal matter, please contact my paralegal Stephanie ([email protected]).
