Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Texas
Can a landlord still evict a tenant after they (landlord) provide the wrong amount of rent owed? I was served eviction summons last week, and I paid the amount shown on the summons the same week. Today the landlord gived me back the money order today saying it was no good and that the other landlord of the property put the wrong amount on the summons.
