non immigrants singing leases

is a non american bound to a lease signed in texas. If he/she decides to leave the country can the landlord go after him/her in another counrty. will texas law allow persuing the person assests the are outside the country?

Yes.

An immigrant, nonimmigrant or illegal alien has the same contractual obligations.

If the foreign nation is a treaty nation, then it will honor the valid court orders of this country, that do not violate its laws.

Practically speaking, consider the amount of money involved. If the cost of obtaining and enforcing the judgment exceeds the amount of the judgment, it is unlikely that the landlord would pursue the claim.

One other caveat: be aware that if at the time the contract is made, if there was fraud, it could rise to the level of a criminal charge.
