Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Texas

libel case ?
I recieved a letter from a student that was in the school I taught in. the director sent out a letter, accusing me of stealing SS#s of my student and identity theft, I have obtained a copy, I have already contacted the ss office who put me touch with the fedral trade commision, I have a refrence # for them as well. my question is : what can I do to stop her, she has no proff , none, I was never contacted by her or an attorney befor she sent out 30 plus letters, and told the students in the school her alegations.
My operator instructor licence is now on the line, my job and my future, everything I have worked for the last 6 years.
How can I stop this?

If you didn't do it, then you can sue for defamation but it will come down to who can convince a judge/jury they're right.
