Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Texas

c-section

I gave birth in April with complications. I had a hematoma. No one knew where 1/2 of my blood supply had gone. I was offered 2 choices: get a blood transfusion or iron pills. I chose iron pills. My body from the waist down was swollen, yet no one knew where the blood was. A week later still swollen weighing more than when I was pregnant my c-section scar ''exploded.'' Blood was everywhere! For 2 months I had to wear pads on my incision because I bed non-stop.

If that was not bad enough, my baby was not breathing when she was born. She 2 more episodes after that. She had to be put in a warmer. I could not hold her for hours. She was very healthy and active in the womb. I am not sure if the spinal had anything to do with that. When it was inserted I felt a rush to my head, similar to wanting to faint.

If that was not enough one of the doctors was preoccupied with what strip bar he was going to go to later that night.

Re: c-section

Your fact pattern sounds very interesting! While I am concerned over what they may or may not have done to you, my primary concern would be over the new born's health. Has it had any problems at all? Is it meeting its' development goals. Is your pediatrician aware of what complications existed pre-birth and at birth?

I would be willing to discuss all of the facts (concerning you and the new born) in much greater detail. Please contact me via phone.

I look forward to the possibility of hearing further from you.
