Is there criminal consequences for refusing to go to basic training
I enlisted in the Texas National Guard april1, 2005. I have had many severe life changes since that time. I have been told that I would not have any criminal reprecussions for refusing to enter basic training, and that I would get an entry level seperation. My question is whether or not I am criminally liable if I don't show up. I am trieing to settle the issue before My ship date July 12, 2005, but if it comes down to it I will not go

You signed a contract. If they do not let you out of that contract officially before your ship date, and you fail to show up, you could be prosecuted. Don't miss your movement date under any circumstances.
