Legal Question in Military Law in Texas

My wife ( before we we're married singed a lease to buy a home ) I would like to know if I can get in trouble for it if they contact my commander. I am not on the agreement nor Did I sign it,...This was done before I met her. They are now treating to contact my commander,...what should I do Should I not worry? Or should I prepare myself and get a lawyer to handle the matter.

Based on what you have written and your professional relationship with your chain-of-command; you may want to consider notifying your chain-of-command about the situation -- so long as this notification is not going to impede upon your military obligations. Alternatively, you can always contact the lessor of the property and put them on notice (e.g., letter sent by certified mail/registered return receipt) that you were never a part to contract/lease. If my law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact us as [email protected] to arrange for an initial consultation.
