Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I was in a car accident. I was a passanger and we was hit from behind. I have been going to theropy for a bulging disk. But this isn't the main issue or question. My accident was on the 9th of april and on the 11 my mother who lives on the other side of the USA , had a stroke and went into a coma. She was in a coma for 10 days . My sister held off as long as she could from disconnecting life support so I would be able to see my mom and say good bye. I was litterally in bed the first week and still unable to sit more then a half hour before the pain is unbearable. can I file a lawsuite against the driver of the other vehicle for the loss of this? For the accident she caused stealing the last moment I should have had with my mother. I really want her to suffer. I can't get back what I missed and I truely want this lady to suffer.

You can ask for pain and suffering and mental anguish damages.

It is never a good idea to file a lawsuit to make the other side suffer. All you can get is money.
