Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I was involved in an auto accident not knowing the proper steps to take regaurding the clam process I hired an attorney. After hiring an attorney they asked me for my insurance information so they could start a PIP claim. My attorney assured me that no fees would be taken from this part of the claim. However they are trying to charge me 33.33% on the PIP part of the claim do I have any options regaurding this matter. If so what are they.

You should check your engagement letter with your attorney to determine if it specifically mentions the PIP portion of the claim, or whether the contract is broad enough to cover the entire claim.

Despite the contract, if you are unhappy with the fees you paid your lawyer, I strongly encourage you to talk to your lawyer directly (or, if that is not feasible, then by writing a letter or email). Your lawyer will want to know how you feel.

Good luck!
