can i take legal action towards a company

Is it considered assault if an employee pushes you and her supervisor does nothing to stop her even though I had made her mad?

Assault is to put one in fear of intentionally harmful or offensive contact. It appears that the employee assaulted and battered you. The supervisor did not assault you. The supervisor and the company have potential liability if they knew or should have known that this employee was likely to harm you. Generally, when an employee pushes someone they are acting outside the scope of their employment and the employer, hence, is not liable. It would be like your maid hitting the mailman: Why should you be held responsible for that?
