Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I was recently involved in a car accident. Prior to this I had neck surgery in 2009 and was doing fine until the wreck. The next moorings I was in pain and called an attorney, they said go to emergency room and I did. I signed with an attorney, and have gone to several doctors, my neurologist now wants me to go a neuro surgeon but neuro surgeon take LLP or what ever the term. My lawyers Para legal says she needs to read the report and talk with him and see if he wants to pay for the neuro surgeon visit or settle. My question is I am still in pain go to physical therapy 3 times a week and believe the attorney is not looking out for my best interest, what are my options if I do not want to settle? And if I do settle can I go back and sue the insurance co any further?

Texas limits a lawyer's ability to discuss the details of a client's case when that client is represented by another attorney. You need to secure your attorney's permission to discuss these matters with another lawyer before these questions can be addressed.
