Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

I have renters insurance and have a personal injury at home. The insurance company told me that injury to people living on property is not covered only people visiting I wanted to know if that was accurate or if they just didn't want to pay. Thank you

Most renters or homeowners insurance do NOT pay for injury to the renter or homeowner but only for guests...why? imagine how many fraudulent claims would be filed...and we sue insurance companies regularly for wrong denials..

If there's a defect that caused your fall,then you might have a claim against the landlord.

The insurance company representative probably told you the truth. Without reviewing your policy, however, I can't say for sure. If you have a copy of your policy, then you should be able to confirm that you are not covered.
