Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

Can I request a court order for information which a company is refusing to give me due to a prior employer giving out slander, defaming and libel info? Can I request this information with an attorney?

You can hire an attorney to file a slander lawsuit (assuming you have more basis than mere suspicion) and then send a deposition by written questions for those records. Or you might file a limited lawsuit for purposes of discovery in order to issue depositions by written questions to the company in question. if they fight it, you may well have to seek a court order. No guarantee you would get it without some compelling evidence to back it up. Its impossible to predict without any real knowledge of the case. Your best bet is to find an attorney who regularly handles business torts because they would be more likely to have more experience and familiarity with slander and libel claims.
