Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

If I get a settlement and I am on medicaid, do I have to pay back medicaid for services already paid? (Medicaid was used to pay for medical services related to an injury. The injury is being settled out of court and my lawyer says that it is the law that medicaid has to be reimbursed.)

yes...medicaid or medicare and most employer purchased health insurance must be paid back..

Yes. It's a criminal offense not to pay back Medicaid.
