Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

We have had the worst out come from a trial. This was a case of slip and fall that happened in a mall in Corpus Christi Texas. My wife fell in some water that was on the food court floor. She broke bone in her knee. We went to trial and it all seemed set up. The malls council had his son try and get picked as a jury member. The judge set the amount???? Our lawyer seemed great until trile. The judge said the rulings in our case were final. My wife ended up with ONLY 7,000 dollars and our attorney 25,000 and we have to pay for everything. There were things also never mentioned like the mall putting down slip and fall stickers around food court area. Is there away to re trial this case??

Like with football, you really need to thing hard about taking points off the board and going for a touchdown after a penalty call on a field goal. You got a successful jury verdict. Without knowing a lot of detail, I can't advise you whether you should keep the points on the board on go for a touchdown. Your attorney could file a motion for new trial; but there would have to be compelling reasons for him to do so after winning a verdict for you at trial.
