Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

change of ownership with previous co-owner knowledge

I purchased a house and added my mother's name to the deed at the last minute durning closing. After two years I moved out in bad terms. Two years later the house was paid off and the owners were changed to the deed. My name was removed, with out notifying me or my signature. Now it shows as my mom and brother own the house. My question is, was this change legal, if it's not what legal steps should be taken by me.

Re: change of ownership with previous co-owner knowledge

How did you purchase the house and how did you add your mother to the title? If you retained an interest after you added her, then it is unlikely that they could extinguish your interest without your signature or a court procedure. Do you know how your name was removed? How did you find out it was removed?

As for the remedies, we need to first determine what happened. It could be as simple as filing some paperwork with the county, or as complex as a lawsuit in district court.
