Deed transfer
What must I do to transfer the deed to my residence to my name? It is now in my deceased mother's name, I am her only heir and she died in 1987 without a self proving will.

Was your mother married at the time of her death? Also, how old was she when she died? In most cases, an affidavit is all that's needed, but there may be a tax issue as well.
