Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

moving company lost belongings

I moved from Texas to New Jersey and our moving company lost an important box (est. value over 1000). They said since we declined insurance, they can only pay .60/per lb. Is there any other recourse I can take using the court system and do I have a case?

Re: moving company lost belongings

Probably not, but you could try in small claims court. It will cost under $100 to file, then at the hearing, tell your story to the Judge.
