Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Real Estate Lien

My girlfriend bought a house (before I met her)from a private owner. This man bought a drive-in from a lady. This drive-in was a total loss in a fire, so he stopped paying this lady her payments dued. The lady in turn put a lien on the house that my girlfriend was buying (still in his name)

the lien has been on this property for 7 yrs. My girlfriend owes this man $1000.00 to finish paying the house, but we found out that if she finishes paying and this property becomes in my girlfriend's name the lien of ($7,000)comes with the title.

How can my girlfriend aquire this property without the lien on it?

Its up to the owner to deliver clear title. You may have to sue the owner for specific performance. Larry Maun 713.266.2560
