Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

toxic mold
I have reason to believe, the house I leased from a real estate company is contaminated with toxic mold. Upon my initial inspection, prior to leasing the house, I noticed a foul odor. I assumed it was from being vacant, however, after living here for over 4 months,the odor is as strong as ever. I also specifically asked, before signing the lease, had the house been flooded. The real estate agent claimed it had not, however, after speaking with my neighbors, I have been advised otherwise. I feel the real estate company should be held accountable for misleading me. Is there any law that covers this?

Beaucoup laws address these issues. Toxic mold is a specialty all of itself. You should get a lawyer who handles this type of case in your town.
