Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

which type of lien would i file on a property in texas to secure my interest in the property that was willed to me by my dad? the stepbrother has had control over the property and apparently he stopped paying the mortgage because i heard that there was a notice of foreclosure on the property. I was not noticed because the stepbrother never notified the mortgage company that the stepmother had died. therefore, the mortgage company will not reveal any info about the mortgage to me although I own an interest in the property. so how do i file a lien on the property to secure my interest now that the property is apparantly going through foreclosure?
