Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas

License Suspension (unique circumstance)

My license is technically suspended in the state of Utah, but the thing is that I have never had or applied for a Utah license. It would go into effect once I got a license there. So I am now a resident of Texas and have never had a license here. I called the DPS and said when they looked up my name I came up as ''clear''. My question is what would happen if I applied and was granted a license here in Texas. Would my Utah suspension show up if I got pulled over by a cop, therefore landing me with a dwsl. And how is that justifiable if the DPS legally gives me a license in this state.

Re: License Suspension (unique circumstance)

Actually, you might want to redirect this question to Utah lawyers. It is also possible that it is impossible to know. Since you show up as clear, you could get a Texas license, and without driving, call and check again on the status. In fact, you could make that call every 30 days for awhile, just to be safe.
