Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas

Hello, I just recently got a traffic ticket and the violation was for improper lane change-signal, But I'd put my signal, then he said I had changed lanes to quick, but I'm absolutely sure I had them on I would like to fight this one and what would be the best way to do this? yes the last resort is traffic class. but I thing my rights were violated.

Good luck fighting your ticket.

You should read and be familiar with the specific provision(s) of the traffic code that the officer alleges you violated.

You may also make a public information request for records you feel you may need in fighting this ticket.

I am an Austin DWI / DUI Criminal Defense Lawyer and I see first hand how officers sometimes "bend" the law to fit their circumstances.

My advice to you is to hire an attorney to negotiate a plea bargain to deferred disposition. If you don't get another ticket in the deferral period, the case is dismissed.

If you try the case and represent yourself, you are likely to lose. If you insist on fighting the case, you should hire an attorney to represent you. It is going to be expensive but you are less likely to lose.
