Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

I am the only child and my mother had no will. She had a verbal agreement with myself and her roommate about what each of us could have. There are 2 bank accounts that the roommate is named the beneficiary as well as the life insurance. The roommate verbally agreed to give me half of the money, and now is declining to agree to the deal that was made. Also no will was made and the estate is not in probate. What legal right do I have to that money?

If the money is in a survivorship account, and it probably is, then you have no rights.
