dad's last will

my dad passed away and the only will i have is when he was married to his 3rd wife. he got divorced and married for the 4th time. does that will still have any legal standing?

Generally when you have a will that leaves some thing to a wife and you complete a divore, the courts will presume that the wife hass died before you, and everythign you left to eh wife will go back to the estate. Here, it sounds like you have a valid will. If he wanted to leave something to her, he would have done a new will. However, he could have worded it...to my wife, (whomever I am married to at the time). If she said to my wife, Glenda (the third wife) then it is teated as previously discussed. There coudl be some odd issues, you may need to discuss with an attorney but if it is cut and dry then I agree with my colleagues.

If he didn't make a new will or changes to the old will, the one you have is the only will.

If there's no later will, then the will you have is a valid will. However, anything left to his now-divorced spouse will be treated as if she predeceased him.
