estate life insurance help

my mother just passed away and i was the beneficiary on a life insurance policy and a survivor benefit policy and i am the pay on death on all accounts and moneys.. discover card called and said that they are gona check in to the estate and take their money .. can they do that can they take the life ins. left to me and the money left to me on pay on death... please help

You should hire a lawyer asap and ask Discover to put their claim to you in writing..change all accounts now..but no right to life insurance, may collect on bank...but they need to go thru probate court..get a good lawyer
