Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

executor refuses to give me ny inheritance

My sister and mother refuse to give me an inheritance left to me by my father. How can I find out how much I inherited and what are my legal rights? My mother gave me $5,000 cash, said she had helped herself to $10,000 that she claimed I owed her (not true) . Days later, my sister's son paid $10,000 down on a new condo. These two will not tell me how much or what I inherited. They keep telling me to be patient, that I'll get the money, but it's been eight months and all they have doled out is $5,000.00. In the meantime, those two are spending money like drunken sailors. Do I have any legal recourse? Help!

You have the right to an accounting and other relief in the court where your father's estate is in probate. I suggest hiring a lawyer to handle it since it can get procedurally complicated.
