Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

My Grandmother passed away in December of 2005, and a distant family member has informed me that I may have been in the will and not received what I should have. Am I entitled to a copy of the will, or how could I go about getting a copy? I have asked family members, but they are not being cooperative in getting me a copy. The will was not filed or probated at all. Also, if I retain an attorney, should they be from the county my Grandmother passed in?

Get a lawyer who practices in the county where grandmother died. Unfortunately, he will have to file to open up an estate.
