Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Illegal Title change

My mother left a halographic will which was proved in court on March of 2004. My stepfather was named independant admistrator of her estate for which he did not qualify until December of 2004. He was removed in March of 2005 for squandering her estate by giving away items left to my sister and I in her will and not performing his duties as administrator, replaced with a succuessor admin. named by the court. In March of 2004 he illegally had the title transferred on her car (left in will to my sister and I) into his name by an affidavit of heirship and proclaming no heirs and no will. Much ado and money was spent on transferring the title from our Mother to us. This all ended in the courthouse this morning. The original title is no longer valid. These lawyers have spent over 35,000 of this small estate and now we are forced once again to go back to court. What are our options?? Can we file charges seperate from the estate???? Could someone give us some legal advise regarding the lawyers abuse?? All is lost of our Grandparents and our Mothers. Our rights as heirs have been totally ignored by the court. The house belonged to our Mother before her marraige but his rights include all personal in the home along with his spousal rights.

Re: Illegal Title change

Speak with the District Attorney. There's a good possibility that your stepfather has stepped over the line with his affidavit of heirship, and criminal charges may be filed against him by the state.
