Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Information that beneficiaries are entitled to

My dad has a will naming me as executor and main beneficiary. My estranged brother is named as a beneficiary in a smaller way. What are his rights as to the execution of the will when my dad dies? Is he entitled to detailed information?

Re: Information that beneficiaries are entitled to

As executor, you will have a fiduciary duty to all the beneficiaries to make proper distribution in accordance with the terms of the will. You will have to prepare and file an inventory and appraisement of the estate, which will become a matter of public record.
