Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Parents House

my mother in law pasted away a few months ago, her husband died about 10 years ago, the house was to be left to my husband, now one of the sisters has a will that i beleive the mother was not in her right mind, never the less can the mother leave the house to one daughter? I thought she could only leave her half, which would be 50%, is this right, she can not leave 100% because that is the father's half, she could only leave her half.

Re: Parents House

You should contact an attorney to dispute the validity of the will if you mom's cometence was in question. On your father's portion, more facts are needed to determine the passing of his portion under the laws of intestate succession. The lawyer can answer that as well when given the facts.
