Status In Inheritance Law
At age 31,I consented to my stepfather adopting me,I also took his last name as mine.My Mother died recently and I am curious as how the court may regard me.Would they look upon me as her stepchild or her biological child?

It depends on whether or not your mother's parental rights were terminated prior to her death. I am not sure if it works the same way with an adult adoptee, so maybe you should consult a family law specialist.
